04 avril 2013 - Shaputuan à l'Université de Montréal : semaine de rencontres autochtones. La communauté de l'Université de Montréal est invitée à assister à la cérémonie d'ouverture du Shaputuan : semaine de rencontres autochtones le lundi 8 avril 2013, à 11 h 00, en présence de M. Ghislain Picard, chef régional de l'Assemblée des Premières Nations du Québec et du Labrador, de Mme Élizabeth Larouche, ministre déléguée aux Affaires autochtones du Québec, du recteur de l'UdeM, M. Guy Breton, et de plusieurs représentants de communautés autochtones, dont les Innus de l'Institut Tshakapesh.

01 avril 2013 - Algonquins of Barriere Lake vs Section 74 of the Indian Act on Vimeo. Barriere Lake Solidarity has produced this video to help bring attention to the current struggle by the Algonquins of Barriere Lake (ABL) against the Canadian Government's imposition of Section 74 of the Indian Act. By enacting this obscure piece of the Act, the Canadian Government is attempting to take control of the community by imposing band council elections on the community. The ABL have always had their own customary government.

01 avril 2013 - Oglala Sioux Council supports resolution to stop Keystone pipeline. On March 26, 2013 the Oglala Sioux Tribal Council passed Resolution 13-60 “reaffirming the Yellow Bird Steele-Poor Bear administration opposition to the Keystone XL Pipeline from crossing the Mni Wiconi Water Line, any part of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and any and all 1851 and 1868 treaty lands.” The KXL Pipeline’s planned route crosses much of the Lakota treaty territory, meaning the resolution bans the Pipeline from most of the northern great plains.

19 mars 2013 - La Première Nation de Grassy Narrows est déboutée en Cour d'appel. La Cour a statué que la province avait juridiction sur les terres publiques et ses forêts. Le gouvernement avait émis des permis d'exploitation forestière à Produits forestiers Résolu sur des terres ancestrales de la communauté autochtone.
